How To Create Lag In Your Golf Swing

Category : Legal Services

By Maxx Johnson

Everyone wants to hit the golf ball farther and straighter. So what is the answer? Create Lag! This is what the good players and pros of the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours do to hit the golf ball so far and straight.

OK, create lag. What in the world is lag in the golf swing? The easiest way that I can explain it to you here is that it is pulling the golf club with your body as opposed to pushing the golf club with your hands and arms.

Imagine that you are holding a bucket of water. As you try to swing the bucket of water, how will you go about making this happen? You will start turning your bigger muscles to make it happen. This will allow you to keep the water in the bucket. If you try to use your hands and arms to make this happen the water will start to come out of the bucket and get you wet!

Is there a drill that can help you create lag in the golf swing? Yes there is. Pick a target and address the golf ball as you normally would. Now for a right handed golfer, take your thumb and index finger of your right hand off of the golf club. Making your thumb and index finger to look like a gun will return the best results. Do not get lazy and let these two fingers start to curl back around the grip of the golf club. This will defeat the purpose.

So now you are asking, how does making my grip into a gun going to help me create lag in my golf swing? Think about it for just a second. Your thumb and index finger help you do most everything that you do during the day. You employ these two fingers to help you hold a fork, writing with a pencil or pen and many other things. Simply put, they are used to taking over whatever task you are trying to do. Taking your thumb and index fingers off of the golf club they cannot join the action. This makes the club heavier to you and allows the golf club to drop from the top of your backswing. This will force you to turn towards your target or use a larger range of motion, unless you enjoy hitting behind the golf ball!

When this is done correctly you will feel the golf club placing more pressure on the straight index finger since you are now pulling the golf club. That is the feeling of lag in your golf swing that you have created. Once you have done this drill and are comfortable that you now understand the correct feeling of lag in a golf swing, you can curl your fingers back around the grip. However, this time I want you to make your thumb and index finger touch. This allows you to get the same feeling without answering the questions on the golf course from your golfing buddies about what you are doing.

Understand the ‘gun grip’ as I have come to call it, is legal and you can use it on the golf course. I have had students play very good eighteen-hole rounds utilizing the gun grip to create lag in their golf swing.

Why Is Mobile Hydraulic Crane A Darling Of Industrial Unit}

Why is Mobile Hydraulic Crane a Darling of Industrial Unit

by

Issac Gates

In industrial sector it is often required to lift up heavy loads and it is literally a next to impossible task for human beings to accomplish. Here arises the importance of crane. Cranes not only hoist heavy things but also reposition them precisely. Now there are several Mobile Crane Manufacturers all over the world. Among them some are being widely used in the industries due to a good no. of advantageous features.

Manual mobile cranes are equipped with very high capacity. They can lift up load upto 150kg.

One of the principle features of such cranes is their high maneuverability. The device is easy to operate and large nylon wheels and castors facilitate maneuverability of the device to great extent.

Though they are supplied with manual lift but lifts provided with battery power are also available.

To safeguard operators some safety measures have also been incorporated into the device. Wheel guards are attached with braked rear castors so that feet of the operator dont get trapped under it.

Before launching it into the market the Mobile Hydraulic Crane is tested by overloading it with 50% more than its capacity and needless to say, the result is quite satisfactory.

Counterbalanced cranes are more sophisticated and intricately designed, thereby are capable of performing their duties in more precise way. They have come up with more and more advanced features which can be summed up as follows.

They have been introduced into the market for picking up heavy loads and repositioning the items properly even in very little space.

In addition to maneuverability, the counterbalanced cranes have great potential to control speed in forward as well as reverse direction. They are also designed with infinite control over lifting and lowering speed. For the purpose of lifting, a powered pump is used that is equipped with immense control over speed.

Along with lifting items, cranes also perform another important task by repositioning them, no matter whatever is the area of the space. For accurate repositioning of the items, hydraulic hand pump is incorporated into the device.

Canadian Prime Minister Harper agrees to send ‘Clean Air Act’ to committee

Category : Uncategorized

Thursday, November 2, 2006

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has agreed to send the government’s ‘Clean Air Act‘ to an all-party committee for review, before its second reading, after Tuesday’s 25 minute meeting with NDP leader Jack Layton at the PMO.

Layton had asked for changes to the conservatives’ environmental bill during the meeting with the PM, asking for a “thorough and complete rewriting” of the Conservative party’s environmental bill.

However, Layton was disappointed with Harper’s reaction. “I’m not really convinced that the prime minister understands the urgency of the climate change crisis, the threat that climate change proposes and the urgency to move quickly,” he said. “Far too much emphasis on consultations that could go on for considerable periods of time as opposed to action.

Layton has introduced a private member’s bill on climate change. It calls for emissions to be cut by 25 per cent of 1990 levels by 2020, in an attempt to cut total emissions by 80 per cent of those levels by 2050.

Other parties including the Liberal Party of Canada, Bloc Québécois and the Green Party of Canada are concerned about this.

“What we’ve been concerned about was really a Halloween stunt from Mr. Layton,” Interim Liberal leader Bill Graham said at a news conference.

“It will be completely transformed,” said BQ Leader Gilles Duceppe. “The Conservatives won’t recognize their legislation.”

However, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May said bringing the ‘Clean Air Act’ into committee would give the legislation some legitimacy it doesn’t deserve.

The committee will be full of critics commenting on the conservatives’ bill.

The Tory government may have a possible non-confidence motion as early as Thursday unless it allows opposition parties to rewrite its clean air bill, which the PM had agreed to in the meeting with Layton.

School Principal found dead in Tennessee classroom; teen held by police

Category : Uncategorized

Friday, August 12, 2011

Police authorities say the body of Suzette York, 49, was found shortly after 11am on Wednesday morning in a classroom at Memphis Junior Academy in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Police also state a 17 year-old male student, Eduardo Marmolejo, was later taken into custody and has been charged with first-degree murder. Reports indicate Ms. York had been a science and math teacher and was currently serving as the principal at the private academy affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

According to police, Ms. York was found lying in a pool of blood by another teacher at the school on Wednesday. The alleged assailant cited dislike and anger with York as motivating the attack. The court appointed two defense attorneys, who requested mental evaluation of the defendant.

A former student of the school described Ms. York as “a wonderful person who was very much involved with her students”. The mayor of Memphis described the incident as “tragic all the way around”.
